Objective: A contract manufacturer specialising in electronic assemblies for the Aerospace (commercial and military) and Defence industries commissioned EasyLink with organizing a meeting with an aerospace manufacturing leader on the Turkish market. The aim of the meeting was to understand what contract manufacturing might be outsourced by the Turkish manufacturer and whether there might be any scope for working together.
Results: The consultant in Turkey managed to organize the requested meeting at the managerial level within the time schedule of the client’s visit in Turkey. The client’s feedback was: „I had a fantastic meeting with the lead partner in Turkey. Thank you for arranging the meeting. They are very interested in our company and we will investigate future opportunities.“

Objective: The Canadian Embassy in Prague commissioned EasyLink to review and update a 25-page report on the 2011 Czech Aerospace Market Profile.
Results: The task included validation and update of formerly collected data and delivery of additionally required information. During the project the consultant exploited various resources ranging from statistical data and sector-specific information gathered from specialised trade and sector associations, R&D institutions, technical universities etc. The report also included information about specific opportunities for Canadian exporters in this sector.
   

GSE supplier scores distribution contracts in Romania and Bulgaria after employing EasyLink anew

Objective: The client, a supplier of ground support equipment tasked EasyLink with a new market search project, this time pursuing distributors in Romania and Bulgaria. Similarly, as in the Czech Republic, the customer wished to establish the level of market potential in the two countries, however chose to focus on airports and ground handling companies as potential end-users and buyers from military airports and/or military airport equipment traders as prospective partners for the two markets.
Results: EasyLink consultants compiled comprehensive reports containing information on the developing GSE markets and detailed profiles of prospective partners – airports, ground handling companies and military sector buyers, including contact persons, turnover, scope of activities, known customers and other information. The client met selected potential partners during a trade mission in the two countries in November 2012 and appointed distributors in each. After EasyLink’s advice to appoint 2 distributors for the vast country of Romania, the market generated sales reaching a hundred thousand euros within half a year and Bulgaria offering attractive and possible contracts at Sofia airport.
   

Market and partner search for a supplier of ground support equipment in the Czech Republic generates 8 meetings

Objective: EasyLink was commissioned by the client, a supplier of GSE solution serving airlines and ground handling companies world-wide, to scope out opportunities in the Czech Republic, including information on ground handling providers and buyers of ground handling equipment; expenditures on the used equipment; main types of serviced aircraft; providers of de-icing, water and toilet service, catering, cabin cleaning, medical transport; and existing dealers or distributors of GSE equipment. Furthermore, EasyLink was tasked to organize meetings with interested parties, both prospective clients and distributors, in June 2012.
Results: We provided the client with information on all 5 public international airports in the Czech Republic, including providers of handling services at the said airports, selected handling facilities & equipment, handling services, and GSE market structure and competitor landscape. 9 entities expressed interested in discussing potential cooperation with the client, including handling companies at the three largest airports – Prague, Brno and Ostrava. 8 meetings were held during a 2.5-day-long visit in the Czech Republic, 2 with handling companies and 6 with prospective distributors. Later that year, the client attended a sector-related networking event at Brno airport with their chosen distributor. The client’s representatives expressed satisfaction with the high organisation level of the mission and chose EasyLink Business Services to explore other CEE markets – Romania and Bulgaria.
   

U.K. specialist in ground support equipment targets the Czech Republic and Hungary

Objective: The company’s principal offering is providing specialised access and ground support equipment for the aerospace and defence industries. It wishes to identify sales partners in the Czech Republic and Hungary who have contacts with, and access to, customers in major and local airports. Ideally the client would like to work with small distribution partners that may have in-house engineers or technicians who can offer some level of product support on the ground.
Results: In addition to identifying and approaching 28 and 16 companies in the Czech Republic and Hungary respectively, and recommending direct communication with 15 entities in both countries - all keen and fitting the agreed profile, we provided information on the structure and procurement practices pertaining to ground support equipment.
   

U.S. provider of repair & overhaul services for aircraft products and systems evaluates opportunities in 3 CEE markets

Objective: EasyLink was asked to provide multi-step assistance in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary by identifying – 1) potential direct customers - national military / army / air force and operators of rescue/police helicopters and propeller aircraft, 2) providers of helicopter & propeller aircraft repair services, 3) key suppliers of products and services (within the aircraft segment) and/or system integrators and 4) providing information as to what platforms (types of aircraft) the countries currently have.
Results: EasyLink consultants in the three countries conducted thorough research into entities involved in aviation using a number of resources, e.g. Civil Aviation Authority’s Register of Aircraft, business directories, listing of exhibitors at the key defence fairs, company websites and interviews with market experts. We pre-selected and provided detailed profiles with verified contact details of relevant English speaking managers of 23 entities in the Czech Republic, 38 in Hungary and 28 in Poland.
   

U.K. producer of rotary diamond dressers targets Russia

Ministry of Defence requesting expert assessment for its major procurement

Objective: The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic ran a tender for a specialized consultancy to deliver an expert assessment of the price at which the Czech Army was going to sign a contract for service and maintenance of its Airbus aircraft.
Results: Having won the tender, EasyLink prepared and delivered a detailed evaluation of the case, defining a market-based price range within which the given contract can be signed and considered effective use of the Czech army's financial resources.

Objective: A leading U.S. provider of quality wheel chocks and accessories requested EasyLink to identify prospective distributors in Poland.
Results: The consultant compiled an initial list of Polish distributors of accessories for special vehicles and trucks, aircraft and to the mining, logistics, military and railways sectors for client’s review. After receiving detailed feedback, 18 prospects were approached to evaluate their interest and qualification for representing the client in Poland. The client was provided with detailed profiles of 6 companies that expressed interest in further negotiation.

Results: The consultant in Poland pre-selected and approached 12 prospective partners to introduce the client and its products.
